A few years ago, I started carrying these in my pockets. It start with the “Jedi Coin” and over time, I’ve come to use these in each of the parks.
Ever have a great interaction with a cast member or another guest? I like to give them a small token to remember it by. (Want to pull a baller move? Follow it up with a Cast Compliment)
Ever see a photographer lying on the ground to get that awesome shot for your Memory Maker? How about a cast member that sprinkled some pixie dust to make your day a little bit better? How about a guest that could use a little pick me up, or just some appreciation?
One time we were in line for Toy Story Mania. You know how you pass the same people over and over again as you wind through the queue? Well, there was this little boy wearing a Yoda tshirt was crying inconsolably, despite his mother’s best efforts. The next time we passed each other, I turned to the mom and said “Maybe your little jedi would like a jedi coin.” And I handed her one. Before moving on down the line, I could see that he was intrigued with whatever was in mom’s hand. The next time we passed, not only had he stopped crying, he was smiling! (THAT was a feel good moment!)
Nearly every time I hand one of these to a cast member, they are super appreciative for the gesture. And one time, one reciprocated with Fastpasses for our group!
From The Maker: Please note that handing out tokens does not guarantee to stop crying kids, nor Fastpasses given in response.
