Something New from Something Old

Something New from Something Old

When my daily use phone case started falling apart, I took the opportunity to make something new from it. It was one of those phone case/wallet combos that used magnets to hold the wallet on to the case. It was also wireless charging compatible. I decided to make a low profile datapad case out of it, something I could carry each day and maybe figure out how to incorporate some space for it to hold some stickers.

(I like to carry Amrod’s Amrory stickers with me to hand out to people I talk about the shop with)

With a little trial and error, I was able to make an insert that would accommodate the magnets as well as the stickers. A few layers of paint and process later I had my new everyday carry.

Rushing the paint is never good. I started carrying it before the paint cured. And smudged the paint job. YIKES!
