Stranded

Stranded

I left Coruscant for Hosnian Prime. The system where I was born. I wanted to connect with something. If not the family left behind, then the planet, the people.

On approach I indicated my intent to land and received my instructions; a hanger within the starport. Once on the ground, I did not have a plan. I would merely go where the force led me.

Landing, I saw three vectors in the hangar. That was not out of the ordinary, but as I got out of the cockpit, I was approached by three familiar faces.  Master Ezra at the fore of the group.

“Seykahr, we’ve come to collect that which belongs to the order.” he said flatly.

I could feel the spark of anger inside. I would not feed it. “And what might that be?”

“Your ship and your sabre, and we will be on our way. ” the Jedi Master said cooly.

“Would you leave me with nothing? After all that I’ve given? After all that I’ve done for the order, for you?”  I kept my voice flat and cool, as he had done.

“We have our orders, Seykahr. We will leave you with your life. That in itself is something.”

The spark flared into a tiny flame. I drew my Sabre but did not ignite it.

“If you would have it, come and take it. ” I challenged.

Burry let out a little growl. A warning to his comrades.

“I will not give it willingly I made this sabre. I attuned to its crystal. I studied and trained with it. I have saved many lives, your lives with it.”

The standoff continued in silence for a moment. By the time that I  detected the movement, it was already too late. By the time I heard the canopy open, I had no time to respond. A fourth Jedi had snuck up from behind me and got into my Vectra. Then they were gone.

Finally on my homeworld. I was alone. With nothing more than what I had on me.
